Requirements:

  • At least two years of relevant experience in a similar role

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

  • Strong process and project management skills

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Mobile: minimum 30% for traveling

  • You have to fully understand the site’s needs and be able to challenge them

Job Purpose: As the partner to the businesses and manufacturing plants in France and in line with the overall procurement global/regional strategy, is responsible for leading the procurement activities for your assigned projects for capital equipment purchases, and other cross-site purchases such as forklifts, PPEs, MRO, etc., as well as ensuring compliance to the Capex process at each manufacturing plants in coordination with EMEA/local Engineering and Operations and EMEA Procurement.

The scope: €8M for the manufacturing sites in France.


Responsibilities:

  • Work with IPD, Operations/Supply Chain/ Engineering, Legal, Management, EMEA Procurement

  • Deploy the Capex procurement process

  • Identify the key stakeholders (decision process)

  • Obtain specifications and challenge them

  • Carry out market analysis (offer and demand)

  • Identify market levers and capture innovation

  • Negotiate (from co-operation to hard) and lead sourcing activities

  • Set up the contracts

  • Follow up the supplier’s performance and manage supplier claims

  • Participate and lead transversal actions to improve procurement process

Job Accountabilities:

Lead the purchasing activities for the assigned projects in accordance with Capex procurement process and strategy defined

Collect specifications from Engineering / Manufacturing and IPD

  • Identify all the users and stakeholders

  • Formalize specifications with stakeholder

  • Challenge and improve the specifications

  • Develop standardization/globalization

Identify potential suppliers for the projects

  • Analysis of the target supply market and identify a list of potential suppliers

  • Consider Best Value Country suppliers where appropriate

  • Build a supplier panel at France/EMEA level for each type of equipment

Prepare and launch the «Request For Quotation»

  • Check synergies and possible bundle at Group level

  • Check lessons learned from earlier similar projects

  • Use of the e-sourcing portal

  • Define cost breakdown template

  • Make sure HSE requirements are considered

Manage the «Request for Quotation» process

  • Lead the communication with potential suppliers

  • Coordinate with key project stakeholders

  • Organize technical alignment with technical counterparts

  • Support the technical evaluation of the offers received

  • Lead supplier negotiations

  • Perform overall analysis of the offers considering TCO

  • Organize the supplier selection process and provide sourcing recommendations

Contracting

  • Write the contractual documents with Legal

Project execution

  • Participate to project follow-up

  • Resolve issues with suppliers

  • Claim handling

  • Coordinate supplier evaluation process
