Location: Remote
We are looking for a Shopify Expert-contractor to help us with eCommerce site creation and design. As an Expert, you will create killer front-end work and custom, highly converting Shopify storefronts. You will thrive in conversion rate optimization - helping our inhouse brands leverage data to accelerate revenue.
You are a self-starter who is a creative problem solver, who enjoys fast-paced work and is motivated by success. You stay up to date with the latest Shopify trends/apps and you are comfortable coming to the table for alignment meetings.
Skills & Experience:
Min 2 years of experience in Shopify websites development and customization
Excellent written and spoken English and Russian
A strong understanding of responsive web design techniques
Current knowledge of modern design aesthetic and creative trends
Must have an elevated design sense - preferable experience in beauty or retail
Portfolio that demonstrates experience designing for the web
Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with a specialization in Photoshop
Experience with eCommerce marketplaces such as Amazon, etc.
Expert-level knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language
Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues
Understanding of W3C web standards/semantics and accessibility guidelines
Great attention to detail and be highly organized
A positive and upbeat attitude with the ability to learn quickly
A reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone, webcam, speakers and reliable internet
Nice to have:
Knowledge in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/ECMA Script 5/6
Proficiency in PHP/MYSQL
Knowledge of JavaScript libraries
Expertise in developing front-end web applications that perform well on all devices using modern languages and frameworks
TASKS:
Develop eCommerce sites on the Shopify platform
Construct design solutions with a focus on improving website usability by building out custom Shopify themes and/or modify pre-existing themes
Setting up payment integration, shipping methods and taxes in Shopify platform
Page speed optimization of Shopify sites
Create promotional imagery as needed
Implementing SEO/CRO best practices in Shopify sites
Creating responsive website designs
Working under tight deadlines
