Our ideal candidate is good at understanding the supply chain and operational matters.


Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)

  • Mobile: minimum 20% for traveling

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Open-minded, hard-working, and result-oriented

  • You have to understand the site’s needs and be able to challenge them

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to make people adhere and look for the procurement assistance

  • Positive team player who is willing to take part in cross-functional initiatives

  • Has a technical and analytical mindset

  • Training: Master and seasoned category management experience


Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of activities of Strategic Procurement based on the strategy developed by the Category Manager within EMEA and approved by the France Strategic Procurement Director

  • Conduct projects to deliver savings and fundamental process changes

  • Prepare market analysis reports and action plans based on conclusions

  • Development of Synergies for the benefit of the company in France and EMEA

  • Work within a matrix structured organization delivering projects within procurement

  • Managing specified commodity base for EMEA/France

  • Analyzing existing spending and providing clear reporting to the National and European team

  • Work closely with stakeholders (Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing) to proactively look for opportunities surrounding product specification and cost

  • Liaise with local and centralized teams on turnaround projects and saving initiatives

  • Define and manage Key Suppliers' relationships and productivity plans

  • Prepare and conduct suppliers' negotiations in coordination with European Category Managers and France Strategic Procurement Director

  • Maintain strategic supplier scorecards at the plant level

  • Implementation and follow-up of the strategies defined by European Category Managers and France Strategic Procurement Director

  • Categorizing management: 7-step methodology

  • Main objectives are to make savings, secure supplies, and improve cash

  • Reporting to France Strategic Procurement Director


Job Accountabilities:

  • Support the business objectives of the French branch in Procurement of Bought in Finished Goods: Plastic/nonplastic parts, Sanitary products, Glues…

  • Make the Procurement function an asset of the company and actively contribute to the French/European Procurement network to ensure alignment, optimization, and results orientation

  • Global objectives: Total Cost of Ownership Reduction and Strategic partnership development both internally and externally; Risk management, Improve Trade Payables by extending Payment Terms

  • Work with: Operations/Supply Chain, Sales, Logistics, Finance, Legal, and Procurement Teams across Europe

  • Identify the key stakeholders (decision process) Obtain specifications and challenge them

  • Carry out market analysis (offer and demand)

  • Identify the market levers and formulate an improvement strategy (risk, innovation, and cost)

  • Negotiate (from co-operation to hard)

  • Set up the contracts and make sure they are properly used internally

  • Follow up the supplier’s performance

  • Keep in mind the timing constraints (projects management skills)

  • Ensure that orders are placed in accordance with negotiated contracts

  • Apply and develop purchasing guidelines including CSR (ethics, environmental policy, sustainability)

  • Contribute to the process and prepare the annual budget.

  • Comply with rules of engagement
